General goals of the level and program

In INFANT we accompany our students from 3 to 6 years old in a transcendental stage where the personality of the individual of tomorrow is built. In this same stage of emotional and personal construction, Lirima creates an environment of total immersion in English supported by a group of teachers (bilingual) specially trained and dedicated exclusively to their groups, helping children to become familiar with the English language in a natural way through everyday actions, games, dramatizations, stories, songs, and rhymes.

Each INFANT class has two professionals, an English specialist and a kindergarten teacher, allowing a true personalized education, which considers the particular stages of each student, with the purpose that each child reaches their maximum potential and develops their own abilities and skills. We focus on generating the opportunity to explore, investigate, experiment, manipulate different types of materials and go through experiences that bring them closer to solving everyday problems, formulating their own hypotheses and contrasting them with reality when putting them to the test.

The Infant Cycle students, in addition to their bilingual school program, attend special weekly classes in different areas, enriching their educational experiences. Two to three times a week, depending on the level, they participate in Physical Education classes, strengthening healthy habits from early childhood. They also have a weekly music class, where they develop artistic languages and express themselves through different bodily and musical expressions, which strengthen their language development. Finally, and to bring children closer to reading from the earliest age, our “Reading is Fun” program includes weekly visits to the Library, where they select stories of their interest and then read them at home.

Internally, our level is articulated with Junior School, through the Singapore methodology in mathematics and the Phonics programs in English. Social skills are taught, together with Junior, through the “Second Step” Program that allows from an early age to strengthen values and cope assertively with all members of society as well as respecting their environment.

We are a level where we prioritize action and cooperation, always putting the child as the main actor of their own learning, favoring the development of thinking skills, cooperative work and problem solving, to be incorporated in their community as a participative element from their childhood.
