Program

In the Senior Cycle we have two courses per level, with a maximum of 32 students. Depending on the level the student is in, the school day is extended to cover the entire National curriculum and the competencies and skills central to Colegio Lirima curriculum.

The entrance is at 07:45, with 10 minutes of Wellcome Time, time destined for the head teacher and the course group to review the day and for roll call. The school day for 7th to 2nd half finishes at 3:40 p.m. while the 3rd and 4th half grades have a schedule until 4:25 p.m. one of the days of the week.

Classes are taught by specialized teachers in each discipline, developing all the skills required in that area of knowledge. We have a combination between the National Curriculum and some of our own programs for specific courses –  in mathematics up to 8th grade we complement the national curriculum with the Singapore Program and in English our students take the Cambridge University Program, obtaining in fourth grade a certification in english proficiency by FCE.

From 7th to 2nd grade, each student has its own Tablet. They use this technological tool in their classrooms to search for information and as a support to the Singapore and English programs. Using the Classroom platform, each class is supplemented with a virtual room.

Middle III and IV students carry their own electronic devices to develop their activities both in the common plan subjects and in the elective courses.

Electives of Colegio Lirima for students of III and IV Middle

The students are prepared during the cycle, together with the Orientation area, to make responsible decisions regarding their elective courses.

In middle I and II, they must choose one art curriculum, either visual arts or music, 4 hours a week, enhancing skills and abilities in the chosen area. The main focus is on creativity and innovation.

The Lirima School offers its students who are in Middle III and IV the following elective subjects shown in the table. This wide range of topics all have in common the institutional objective:

The formation of wholesome citizens, favoring the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes that allow them to exercise active citizenship and integrate into society.

The large choice provides spaces for freedom and active participation, favors responsible decision-making, autonomy, critical judgment, commitment and creativity.

The best possible transition to Higher Education focusing on relevant knowledge to function in today’s world.

Greater equity, flexibility, choices and equal opportunities for deepening knowledge to all students.
