1st grade to 3rd medio (11th graders)

Due to the Covid19 pandemic and the situation in the country today, we have adjusted our 2021 admission process, eliminating all face-to-face stages until further announcement by the Ministry of Education to open schools. 

However, we will continue with the online Admission process and we will be informing you permanently, via email, regarding any variation that this situation warrants.

We appreciate your understanding regarding the changes in virtual communications, dates, and deadlines as a consequence of the prevention measures that we must carry out during this exceptional period.

Admisión Senior

I. Enrollment  during pandemic times.

All the interested families should send all the requested documents to marcela.figueroa@lirima.cl, our Admissions Department responsable. Please to submit the information take into account the application due date.

Before any evaluation or family interview, it is extremely important that the documents are presented at the Admissions office. No evaluation will be considered without these documents. During the confinement the documentation must be sent via email.

New parents must complete the  Registration form. Families that belong to the Lirima community and wish to apply for another child, formalize the application online at  Schoolnet

II. New Application Period

The new application period will be open from August 3rd 2020 until October 23th, 2020. In case of vacancies after this date, a new evaluation will be called.

Age required for admission

1st grade: 6 years old as of March 31, 2021.

Applications will not be accepted if the child does not meet the required age.

Documentation sent by email must be submitted to the admission office for its records.

• Photocopy of the applicant and parents identity card
• 2 passport size photos with name
• Garden Report (if applicable)
• Registration fee PCH$ 38,000 (thirty-eight thousand pesos). Payment is made at the school or via electronic transfer in WEBPAY PORTAL DE PAGOS, once the admission manager reviews the documentation and sends its approval via email.

2nd graders to 3rd Medio. Documentation to be sent by email

• Original birth certificate
• Photocopy of the applicant and parents identity card
• 2 passport size photos with name
• Current Year Notes Report
• Certificate of Studies (Promotion) last two years
• Personality and Behavior Report for the current year
• Registration fee PCH$ 38,000 (thirty-eight thousand pesos). Payment is made at the school or via electronic transfer in WEBPAY PORTAL DE PAGOS, once the admission manager reviews the documentation and sends its approval via email.

Process Stages

1.- Complete the Registration form.
2.- Parents Interview
3.- Applicants take admission exams and personal interviews with the admission staff.

III. Evaluation process

1st graders
1. Applicants will sit for some tests that measure cognitive abilities and psychopedagogical bases for learning Mathematics and Language. This evaluation lasts approximately 60 minutes.

2nd graders to 3rd Medio (11th graders)
2. Applicants must sit for an admission test in the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Language and Communication (spanish). They will also have to go through a personal interview.
Parents of applicants who meet the entrance requirements expected by the school must attend an interview, the date and time of which will be informed in due course. The assigned date is unique, so any situation that prevents attendance must be notified in advance. Non-presentation without prior notice will be understood as desertion from the application process. The families who have children in Lirima are not interviewed.

IV. Applicant Selection Process

Applicants with an 85% success rate in the evaluation process and maintaining some type of relationship with the school, such as siblings applying to other levels, children of former students, children of officials, foreign applicants or students who are returning to the school, may apply for the vacancies available by level.

Outcomes communication
Parents for admitted applicants shall be notified by email within one week from the evaluations date.

Waiting list
The names of the best applicants shall be kept in a special record, to proceed to an interview with the parents in case there are new open vacancies.

V. Enrollment

The family will have a period of 5 business days to enroll their ward from the acceptance notification.

VI. Vacancies

Open vacancies for these levels will always depend on the withdrawals and quotas that occur during the year. The school reserves the right to select its applicants considering their educational background and the admission process results.

VII. Enrollment requirements for the 4th Middle (12th graders).

The school will not accept applications from students in 4th Medio unless it is a student returning from an out-of-country transfer, has siblings applying to lower levels who are admitted so as not to separate them or work transfers from the parents.

Application requirements

• Personality and Behavior Report for the last two years issued by your school.
• The last 3 Original Studies Certificates issued by your school (years 2017-2018-2019)
• Mark Report year 2020
• Sit for an admission test in Language (spanish), Math, English. They will also have to go through a personal interview. The applicant must obtain over 85% achievement in the admission process.
• Parent Interview
• Take entrance exams for Language, Mathematics, English and a personal interview. Registration fee $28,000 (twenty-eight thousand pesos) Payment is made at the school or by electronic transfer to WEBPAY PORTAL DE PAGOS  once the admission officer has reviewed the documentation and approved it by email.

VIII. Admission process in Santiago

Applicants from Santiago and surroundings who wish to be evaluated in Santiago, must complete the Registration form.

Subsequently, they should email the academic records and family history to marcela.figueroa@lirima.cl , or send them by certified mail to Av. La Tirana 4650, Iquique.

IX. Applications from abroad

Applications for admission from abroad are received throughout the year, for this they must send an email to marcela.figueroa@lirima.cl and visit the virtual tour on the College’s website. 

The application requirements for foreign applicants are the same as those indicated for the level to which they are applying. All the academic documentation of the applicant must be sent via email. Once in the country the documentation is presented legalized and apostilled.
